Here's a list of pictures showing the the Microsoft Windows OS from the early days of Windows 1.0 to the latest and greatest Windows 7.0. Notice that earlier version of Microsoft Windows uses numbers as their version number (Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, Windows 3.0, and etc) but the trend stopped in 1995 with the launch of Windows 95. However, Microsoft reverts back to naming their OSes with number with the launch of Windows 7 in 2009. Personally, I started using Windows since Windows 3.11.
